At some point I read a great essay about how the US # # laws were technically identical to the laws on handling of # information, but somehow neither anyone charged with implementing nor enforcing # understood that, so lots of shit that would never fly in a Defense context happens routinely in medical contexts despite it actually being just as verboten. wish I could find that essay....
