I leave my eee 701 running 24-7. I run gpodder on it and I use it to xfer podcasts to my Sansa's microSD card. I'm very happy with the setup. It once had an uptime of over 300 days, but then a lightning storm rolled in and the battery died while it was unplugged. The battery is mostly junk now. Just enough to move it to another outlet if I ever need to.
