I like this. But it could be even more automatic. We already know that one of the chief !SN / GS advantages (over e.g., !Twitter) is conversations ... so automatically retrieving the whole conversation would help to emphasize that advantage. (And no more visiting instance_X to find parts of the conversation that do not exist on instance_Y).
